Delete your account

Effective date: 27 October 2026 · Applies to the MeiYan app for iPhone and to this website

The short version

  • In the app: Me › Account & security › Delete account.
  • No app? Email [email protected] from the email of your Apple or Google account and we delete it within 30 days.
  • Your photos were never uploaded, so there are none on our servers to delete.

Delete in the app

You don’t need to contact us: the app deletes your account straight away.

  1. Open MeiYan and go to the Me tab.
  2. Tap Account & security.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This removes your sign-in from the device and, where an account exists on our servers, deletes it there too.

Delete without the app

If you no longer have the app or the device:

  1. Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my MeiYan account.
  2. Send it from the email address of the Apple or Google account you signed in with, and tell us which one you used (Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google). If you used Apple’s “Hide My Email”, send it from your own address and tell us so; we’ll ask what we need to find your account.
  3. We confirm by email and delete your account and its data within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account: the Apple or Google user ID, and the name, email address and profile picture the provider shared.
  • Data linked to your account on our servers.
  • On the device you delete from: your sign-in.

Your photos and face data are never uploaded, so there is nothing of them on our servers. Edits you saved for later stay in the app’s private storage on your device until you delete them or the app.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Gift claim records (a random install ID, the gift and when it was claimed, not your name or email): up to 24 months after the campaign ends, so each gift is only claimed once and to prevent fraud.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days.
  • Support emails, including your deletion request: up to 24 months after it is resolved.
  • Anything we must keep longer by law, only for as long as the law requires.

Delete only some data

  • One edit: Me › My edits › choose an edit › Delete.
  • Everything on the device (edits and settings): uninstall the app.
  • Gift claim records or other data we hold, without deleting your account: email [email protected] and tell us what to delete. We reply within 30 days.

Xoá tài khoản (Tiếng Việt)

Trong app: mở MeiYan › tab Tôi › Tài khoản và bảo mật › Xoá tài khoản › xác nhận.

Không cần app: gửi email tới [email protected] với tiêu đề Xoá tài khoản MeiYan, từ email của tài khoản Apple hoặc Google bạn đã đăng nhập, và cho biết bạn dùng Apple hay Google. Chúng tôi xác nhận qua email và xoá tài khoản cùng dữ liệu trong vòng 30 ngày.

Dữ liệu bị xoá: ID tài khoản Apple/Google, tên, email, ảnh đại diện và dữ liệu gắn với tài khoản trên máy chủ. Ảnh và dữ liệu khuôn mặt của bạn không bao giờ được tải lên nên không có gì để xoá trên máy chủ.

Dữ liệu được giữ lại: lịch sử nhận quà (ID cài đặt ngẫu nhiên, không có tên hay email) tối đa 24 tháng sau khi chương trình kết thúc để chống gian lận; log máy chủ tối đa 90 ngày; email hỗ trợ tối đa 24 tháng.
